On November 25, 2020, Kienbaum published the new market study “Winning with People Analytics: German companies on the way to data-supported HR work”.

The focus was on the following key questions:

  • How will algorithms and big data change the HR work of German companies?
  • How far are German companies on the way to data- and evidence-based HR work?
  • What are the hurdles to be overcome?
  • What are the benefits of people analytics?

Here are some excerpts from the press release:

  • The current level of implementation is still low: only around 11 percent of companies use the full range of people analytics and have implemented data-driven decisions in their HR processes.
  • Through greater objectivity and the reduction of psychological judgment errors, employees will also benefit greatly from the use of people analytics.
  • While only around one percent of companies with very low organizational performance stated to use people analytics, a full 37 percent of companies with high organizational performance stated that they had actively integrated data-based processes into their HR portfolio.
