This implementation is happening on the <strong>three levels of process, structure and content<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #993300;\">process-related implementation<\/span> can be divided into six steps heeding the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.franklincovey.com\/Solutions\/Execution\/4-disciplines.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">4DX Disciplines:<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First, there is the design of the implementation \u2212 determining a clear model, focusing on the essential goals and allocating specific responsibilities in the process of implementation to specific people.<\/li>\n<li>In the next two steps, management introduces the goals on different levels down to the team level and initiates the Team-Launch.<\/li>\n<li>That in turn serves as a kick-off for the continuous strategy work of all employees \u2212 usually this is done in weekly team meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Lastly, quarterly conferences provide an opportunity for management to discuss progress and potentially revise the process of implementation.<br \/>\nA thorough emphasis of the disciplines <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>focus<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>clarity<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>engagement<\/em> <\/span>and <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>responsibility<\/em> <\/span>on all levels is vital for success.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #993300;\">structural implementation<\/span> falls under the responsibility of corporate development or organisational development respectively. According to the model of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.springer.com\/de\/book\/9783658096977\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">St. Galler Management House<\/a> you can distinguish nine different \u201crooms\u201d. These can be understood as separate scopes of duty that are best coordinated by an <a href=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2005\/10\/the-office-of-strategy-management\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">office of strategy management (OSM)<\/a>. There, a small and effective team works on coordinating and guiding the implementation of the strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Based on years of practical experience and scientific findings, the successful implementation of strategy on the <span style=\"color: #993300;\">level of content<\/span> relies on<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conference-board.org\/high-performing-organization\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>three so-called DNA-components and 15 assigned strategies<\/em><\/span><\/a>. The DNA-components refer to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>effective and efficient alignment of resources to execute business strategies<\/em><\/span>,<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>strong focus on the customer<\/em><\/span> and<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>organizational capability to support critical business objectives<\/em><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Top 3 strategies are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>delivering high-quality products and services<\/em><\/span>,<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>creating a culture of rigor and standards to remain financially stable<\/em><\/span>, and<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>processes around fiscal management, oversight, and controls, as well as decision making<\/em><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thus, a successful implementation of strategy consists of four disciplines, six steps, three core components and 15 strategies, that are all embedded in a <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>high-performance culture<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>&#8211; culture of focus, change, engagement and commitment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this blog entry I will turn to the actual implementation of a developed strategy.
